Ethos, a new expert network, seeks experienced directors of exhibitions to train AI models on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. This fully remote, flexible role targets 4+ years in museums or humanities settings and emphasizes high-quality, board-ready writing across exhibitions and cultural funding contexts.

Compensation is $70/hour with start ASAP. Typical commitment ranges from 5 to 20 hours per week, but can be expanded.

Qualifications

• 4+ years working in a museum, gallery, cultural institution, arts nonprofit, or academic humanities setting producing scholarly or public-facing written material.
• Demonstrated command of art-historical, literary, or cultural research methods and the ability to translate scholarship into clear, board- or public-ready writing.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows.
• Produce exhibition catalog essays, funding applications, provenance spreadsheets, donor briefings, and artist bios.
• Ensure clarity and accessibility of scholarly content for board-ready and public-facing audiences.
