Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote AI Ethicist & Governance Specialist to join our client’s global AI ethics and policy team. This fully remote role shapes responsible AI, developing frameworks, guidelines, and policies to ensure fairness, transparency, accountability, and alignment with human values across AI systems worldwide.

You will work with researchers, engineers, and product teams, monitor regulatory trends, draft governance documents, and deliver training.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Public Policy, CS with ethics, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in AI ethics, responsible AI, and governance.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and societal implications.
• Experience drafting policy documents and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI ethics frameworks, governance policies, and guidelines.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for new AI products and initiatives.
• Advise engineering, research, and product teams on ethics throughout the development lifecycle.
• Monitor AI regulations and best practices globally.
• Create training materials and run workshops on ethical AI.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders on AI ethics issues.
• Contribute to thought leadership through publications and talks.
• Address ethical challenges in data usage and algorithmic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
