Next Step Systems is seeking an Engineering Manager for Artificial Intelligence who will lead a high-performing team and own delivery from concept to production. This role is 100% remote, with a focus on building scalable AI-powered products used by millions of users.

The candidate will drive architecture decisions, collaborate across product, design, mobile, backend, and AI teams, and raise the engineering bar while maintaining customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have experience building and shipping real production systems.
• Proven ability to lead engineers and own delivery from idea to production.
• Strong architecture skills balancing speed, scalability and maintainability.
• English as the main working language; clear communication across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an engineering team across frontend, backend, and full stack.
• Own delivery for major product areas to ensure rapid shipping with reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, mobile, backend, and AI teams to turn problems into execution.
• Drive technical decisions across APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop engineers through feedback, coaching, and performance management.
