Next Step Systems seeks a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to shape AI systems, decide technical direction, and help build the engineering organization from the ground up. This 100% remote role places you on the founding team to define architecture, data pipelines, and platform metrics for scalable growth.

You will lead global engineering teams, establish standards and hiring criteria, collaborate with product and research, and ensure delivery of high‑quality, reliable systems across locations.

Qualifications

• Strong background in large-scale system architecture and AI platforms.
• Experience building or leading engineering teams.
• Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions in early-stage startups.
• Excellent communication and cross-team alignment.
• Comfortable working across time zones and cultures.
