Job summary

Scale AI is seeking an Forward Deployed AI Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering production AI solutions for enterprise customers. You will bridge customer needs with Scale's AI capabilities, guiding integrations, agent development, and prompt engineering across complex data pipelines.

You will work with customer data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to ensure successful deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of AI systems in production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ yrs of Management experience
• Production Python expertise with ML/AI frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Partner with enterprise customers to understand technical infrastructure and data pipelines
• Design and implement custom integrations between Scale AI's platform and customer environments
• Develop production-grade AI agents and multi-agent systems for customer use cases
• Create prompt engineering strategies and maintain libraries and templates
• Document architectures and best practices
• Lead a team and coordinate with product and engineering teams
