Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Software Engineer – AI Applications & ServiceNow to design, develop, deploy, and operate secure AI-enabled applications within U.S. Government cloud environments.

This remote, full-time role focuses on AI, ML, and generative AI capabilities across FedRAMP Moderate/High and GCC High contexts. The engineer will build AI-enabled services, integrate with enterprise apps, and contribute to secure SDLC, CI/CD, and ServiceNow development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience developing AI-enabled or generative AI applications for production.
• Experience programming with Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar languages.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed applications.
• Familiarity with secure software engineering, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP Moderate/High security requirements and government cloud environments.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI-enabled applications.
• Integrate AI services with enterprise apps, data sources, and APIs.
• Develop ServiceNow solutions and integrations with AI services and enterprise systems.
• Support secure SDLC, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Ensure security controls, IAM, data protection, and auditable operations.
