Orr Search is partnering with a leading global private equity firm to hire a Forward-Deployed AI Engineer. This founding AI role will work across portfolio companies to deliver measurable EBITDA impact by deploying capable AI platforms and building custom workflows.

You will embed with portfolio leadership, implement end-to-end solutions, and translate results into tangible business value. Remote role with travel to US portfolio sites (~40%), near major airports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience, including consulting at strategy firms or Big 4.
• STEM degree required; MSc in ML/AI is a plus.
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Run build-vs-buy assessments and test vendors based on data.
• Lead end-to-end implementations connecting ERP/CRM/HRIS/data warehouses via APIs.
• Set baselines, design evaluations, and track adoption for EBITDA impact.
• Translate results into actionable business outcomes for leadership.
• Deliver quick wins and manage longer transformation programs.
• Build custom Python solutions and MCP integrations, plus runbooks.
