Job summary

Kobie is a remote-first, values-driven company building a large loyalty platform. We seek a hands-on AI Engineer to ship on our internal agent platform, developing harnesses, tools, and subagents for production use. You’ll own prototype-to-production cycles, monitor reliability, and collaborate across teams.

The role emphasizes practical engineering, minimal handholding, and the ability to push back when needed. A bachelor’s degree is not required; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Python with production experience
• 1+ years of hands-on work with LLMs in production
• Working knowledge of LangChain/LangGraph or comparable frameworks
• Experience with LLM observability tools (CloudWatch, LangSmith, Langfuse, MLflow, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks (MLFlow, DeepEval, LLM-as-judge)
• Fluency with Git, Docker, and modern API frameworks
• Clear written communication and good shipping judgment

Responsibilities

• Build agent harnesses in Python using LangChain and LangGraph
• Package agent harnesses for the AgentCore Runtime with context, tools, and subagents
• Write tools and skills agents use (APIs, SQL, Snowflake)
