Job summary

Harness is seeking a highly strategic Web Strategy & AEO/SEO Lead to own the global website experience and organic discovery strategy for Harness.com. This role sits at the intersection of web strategy, SEO/AEO, content architecture, and growth and is responsible for ensuring Harness is discoverable across traditional search engines and AI-driven discovery surfaces.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of SEO experience in a B2B SaaS or tech environment.
• Experience owning web and organic growth strategy through influence, prioritization, and vendor management, not just hands-on execution.
• Proven experience owning and operating a high-traffic, high-impact website.
• Strong hands-on SEO expertise (technical, on-page, and content).
• Strong understanding of B2B buyer journeys and how websites support demand generation.
• A proactive operator who sees problems, proposes solutions, and drives them to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own organic discoverability strategy across traditional search engines and AI-driven answer engines (e.g. Google AIO, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude).
• Define and evolve an AEO / AEO strategy focused on entity authority, structured content, use-case clarity, and off-site citations optimized for LLM citation and summarization.
• Partner with Product Marketing and Content to ensure product positioning, narratives, and use cases are reflected in search- and AI-readable site architecture.
• Lead keyword strategy, content gap analysis, and competitive audits with emphasis on intent, topics, and entities over keyword volume.
• Establish standards for technical SEO, structured data, internal linking, and content templates that scale across modules and solutions.
• Own performance measurement across classic SEO metrics and indicators of AI discoverability (citations, visibility, zero-click exposure).
• Manage and direct external SEO / AEO agencies or vendors, setting strategy, reviewing output, and holding them accountable to performance outcomes.
