Job summary

Decisive Point Consulting Group is seeking a Software Product Engineer for a 100% remote federal government project. You will design and build event-driven backend services on AWS to support AI workloads.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience with React, Node.js/TypeScript, microservices, and TDD, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure healthcare-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, AI, or related field.
• 5+ years in professional software engineering with AI-enabled systems.
• Strong React, Node.js/TypeScript production-grade services.
• Experience with AWS data and messaging services (SQS, S3) and PostgreSQL/Aurora.
• Proven TDD and automated testing discipline.
• CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Ability to obtain U.S. government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build event-driven, data-intensive backend services in Node.js/TypeScript on AWS.
• Decompose workflows into microservices with clear data ownership and loose coupling.
• TDD-driven development with strong test coverage for AI-enabled services.
• Develop AI pipelines processing structured and unstructured data.
• Design scalable AI-enabled systems for healthcare platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into deployable solutions.
• Support project objectives and take on additional tasks as needed.
