Job summary

Pet Media Group (PMG) is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Monetisation team. You will mentor engineers, own delivery for pricing, checkouts, payments, subscriptions, and escrow, and drive AI-driven development across the stack.

You'll partner with product and engineering leadership to set priorities, ship high-quality features, and advance our AI-powered development approach in a fast-growing, profitable company.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and growing a team of software engineers.
• Experience in payments/fintech (Stripe/Adyen/Braintree) or escrow/KYC/identity verification.
• Strong engineering background; full-stack with TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js and React.
• Track record of owning delivery for a team or domain.
• Comfortable reviewing designs, guiding architecture, and trade-offs.
• Understanding of GraphQL in large multi-consumer systems.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Active use of AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex) in engineering work.
• Working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow and support a team of full-stack engineers.
• Own delivery for the Monetisation domain against a clear roadmap.
• Set technical direction and stay hands-on for architecture guidance.
• Partner with product to shape priorities across VAS, payments and escrow.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering as standard practice.
