Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote-first estate planning leader, seeks a Controller reporting to the CFO to steer financial operations during rapid growth. You will own accounting across the company and subsidiaries, build scalable controls, and drive automation in close processes.

You will lead audits, optimize the tech stack with FP&A, and partner with the CFO on cost analysis and strategic planning. This role is open to multiple states, with a focus on GA, CA, CO, FL, and beyond.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in accounting with leadership roles in high-growth environments (CPA preferred).
• Experience in financial reporting, compliance and internal controls.
• Hands-on AI/automation in accounting workflows (LLM, scripting).
• Experience designing internal controls for automated processes.
• Proficiency in Ramp and Rillet; strong Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting at Trust & Will and subsidiaries; manage month-end close, tax compliance and AP/AR.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to scale operations.
• Lead audits and reconciliations; ensure accuracy to the last detail.
• Manage accounting tech stack; collaborate with FP&A for integrated systems.
