Job summary

Trust & Will is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations across our fast‑growing platform. You will own the month‑end close, tax compliance, and AP/AR, while building scalable internal controls and an AI‑driven workflow.

You will partner with the CFO and FP&A to analyze costs, manage vendors, and guide financial strategy in a remote‑first environment serving startups and families across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience with 4–5+ years in a Controller or senior leadership role in high‑growth environments.
• CPA certification preferred and strong track record in financial reporting and controls.
• Hands‑on use of AI/automation to improve accounting workflows and close processes.
• Experience designing internal controls for automated/AI‑assisted processes.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting operations for Trust & Will and subsidiaries, including month‑end close, tax compliance, and AP/AR.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to scale operations and safeguard assets.
• Lead audits and ensure accuracy across financial records and reconciliations.
• Manage accounting technology stack and collaborate with FP&A for integrated systems.
• Partner with CFO on cost analysis and strategic planning; oversee vendor management.
