Job summary

MHP - Mieschke Hofmann und Partner Gesellschaft für Management- und IT-Beratung mbH is seeking a remote Cloud Platform engineer to design, automate, and operationalize secure AWS Data Lake infrastructure, focusing on Terraform modules, GitHub-driven automation, and governance.

You will partner with Data Engineering teams to deliver reusable platform capabilities, ensure security and cost efficiency, and mentor teams in best practices for scalable, observable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Experience with AWS and Terraform in Data Lake projects.
• Ability to translate requirements into reusable infrastructure patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, review, and maintain Terraform for AWS Data Lake infrastructure.
• Create reusable patterns for S3, IAM, KMS, networking, observability.
• Embed security, governance, and operational standards into patterns.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to optimize cost, performance, and scalability.
