Job summary

JMD Technologies Inc. seeks an experienced AWS cloud engineer to join our remote/cloud-focused team under a contract arrangement.

The role emphasizes secure AWS infrastructure, automation via Terraform, and strong cloud governance to deliver scalable, compliant environments for enterprise workloads. The ideal candidate will have hands-on AWS experience, Terraform expertise, and a background in DevOps/CI/CD with GitLab.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
Strong experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and tools such as GitLab.
Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues in production environments.
Experience with AWS security, cloud networking, or compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-171 is a plus. Active or eligible DoD Secret Clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure and governance.
Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform and cloud automation tools.
Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab.
Partner with Information Security teams to maintain secure AWS baselines and compliance.
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and support enterprise AWS environments.
Ensure cloud platforms meet organizational security and compliance requirements.
