Job summary

Shift Technology is seeking a data science professional to advance our insurance AI platform. You will build and productionize data pipelines, develop LLM-based solutions for subrogation and claims, and explore agentic AI frameworks.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in production-level object-oriented programming for scalable systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI techniques including RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering, and model tuning.
• Experience designing robust data pipelines for document, OCR, and multi-modal data workflows.
• Ability to engage with clients and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the US- Insurance roadmap and clients across data types (structured, text, documents, images).
• Build and productionize data pipelines optimized for LLMs and multi-modal models.
• Design, develop and deploy LLM-based solutions for subrogation, claims handling, and document understanding.
• Experiment with Agentic AI technologies and develop MVPs for autonomous subrogation solutions.
• Develop Chain-of-Thought and ReAct prompting strategies with duty to justify liability percentages by law.
• Create custom tools to query internal databases or query weather APIs and compute impact based on telemetry.
• Establish evaluation frameworks to ensure unbiased, explainable decision-making.
• Lead client workshops, present prototypes, gather feedback, and shape roadmap priorities.
