Job summary

Shift Technology in Boston offers a Data Scientist/Engineer role in a hybrid setup. You will work on enterprise-scale AI solutions for insurers, building data pipelines and deploying LLM-based workflows across subrogation, claims, and document understanding.

You will explore agentic AI technologies and develop prompts with justifications aligned to legal frameworks, while collaborating with clients and a large data science team.

Qualifications

• Strong OOP skills for building scalable systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI techniques.
• Experience designing robust data pipelines for documents, OCR, and multi-modal data.
• Experience engaging with clients and translating needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to US insurance roadmap and clients; work with structured data, text, documents, and images.
• Build and productionize data pipelines optimized for LLMs and multi-modal models.
• Design, develop and deploy LLM-based solutions for subrogation, claims handling, and document understanding.
• Experiment with Agentic AI tech and MVPs for autonomous subrogation solutions.
• Develop Chain-of-Thought and ReAct prompting strategies; justify liability percentages per jurisdiction.
