Job summary

Imagen Technologies seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the AI Data Platform team responsible for ingesting, de-identifying, transforming, and serving clinical imaging data (e.g., DICOM). You will build a scalable, secure foundation for our AI development efforts, reporting to the Head of Engineering.

You'll balance hands-on work with growing a team, collaborate with Product, Clinical, Regulatory, and AI groups, and shape the technical roadmap while maintaining HIPAA-compliant data practices

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software or data engineering experience, with at least 2 years in engineering management.
• Strong data engineering foundation; able to review designs and contribute Python/SQL code.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, data lakes, warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and translate business needs.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated industry preferred.
• ML Ops or ML infra experience preferred.
• Multi-cloud environments and cost optimization preferred.
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the AI Data Platform team.
• Own platform ingesting de-identified, transforms and serving imaging data.
• Define and execute technical roadmap aligning with OKRs.
• Ensure data quality, governance, HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, Product, Clinical, Regulatory teams.
