Job summary

Weekday AI seeks a Compliance & Controls AI Expert to join our finance and risk team. This part-time/contract role blends GAAP/IFRS expertise with AI-driven controls to strengthen financial reporting and automate compliance processes.

You will design AI-powered monitoring, support audits, and collaborate with finance, audit, and technology teams. Experience with ASC 606/ IFRS 15 and ASC 842/ IFRS 16 is important.

Remote across US/UK/Canada/France/Portugal; 20 hours per week at $100–$120/hour.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them in real-world scenarios.
• Experience in internal controls design, testing, and audit support.
• Hands-on experience with revenue recognition and lease accounting processes.
• Familiarity with AI, data analytics, or automation tools in finance (e.g., RPA, machine learning-based monitoring systems).
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into scalable, technology-driven solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with finance, audit, and tech teams.
