Job summary

Outlier is building a remote program for LatAm's best software engineers to train AI models by reviewing AI-generated code and providing structured feedback that helps models improve. As a QA Coder, you review code, flag errors, rate responses on accuracy, instruction following and presentation, and write clear computer science prompts to push coding AI.

This is a freelance 1099 contract with pay up to $34/hour, plus incentives; work from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions — accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write clear, well-structured computer science prompts that challenge AI models and push the boundaries of coding.
