Outlier is building a structured remote program that lets software engineers train AI models by reviewing and improving AI-generated code. You will review code, rate model responses, and craft clear prompts to challenge AI systems, all as a flexible 1099 contract role.

No AI background required, but strong software engineering fundamentals help. Compensation is up to $34 USD/hr, with additional incentives based on project performance.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase ideally for a technology company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions — accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write computer science questions and prompts to challenge AI models.
