Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, 2+ years in design or manufacturing, and proficient CAD/analysis tool experience. Flexible hours with a 10–40 hour weekly commitment available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAD platforms and engineering analysis tools as listed.
• Ability to develop precise, rigorous engineering problems and explanations.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging mechanical engineering problems based on your experience.
• Derive and verify correct answers with rigorous worked solutions.
• Test problems against AI models and refine to challenge reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated analyses for accuracy and applicability.
• Compare AI solutions to identify strengths, weaknesses and errors.
• Document concrete failures and questionable assumptions in designs.
• Review others’ problems for correctness and relevance.
• Apply expertise across mechanical design, structures, thermal, dynamics, and manufacturing.
