AI Trainer Jobs is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to help train AI models by writing challenging, verifiable engineering problems drawn from your specialty and by deriving and explaining solutions.

This remote, contract role offers flexible hours and weekly payouts, with compensation ranging from $40 to $125+ per hour depending on task difficulty and expertise. Open to candidates in the United States and several partner regions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience in design, product development, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Fluency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, Creo, NX, CATIA or Inventor.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics of materials, dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
• Able to write precise, unambiguous technical problems and worked solutions in fluent written English.
• Meticulous—able to check work and find edge cases that break assumptions.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (completed or in progress).
• Only applicants based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland, or New Zealand will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging, closed-ended problems from your area of expertise that require real engineering reasoning.
• Derive the correct answer, verify it, and write a worked solution showing the steps.
• Test problems against AI systems and sharpen where needed to challenge models.
• Review AI-generated engineering analyses, designs, and documentation for correctness.
• Review other contributors’ problems and solutions for correctness, ambiguity, and rigor.
