Job summary

Humana is seeking a Lead AI Automation Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for designing, engineering, and productionizing AI-enabled automation across the Data Governance organization.

This role blends generative AI, workflow orchestration, APIs, enterprise data, and low-code automation to deliver reliable governance automations; you will mentor engineers and own production readiness end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 5+ years in software engineering or related fields.
• 2+ years in AI/ML or automation with LLM/agentic solutions.
• Experience taking automation/AI to production with operations support.
• Experience providing technical leadership and leading reviews of designs/code.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and hands-on development of AI-enabled automations and agentic workflows.
• Build reusable automation frameworks, services, and patterns.
• Integrate AI with governance data, catalog, and enterprise systems.
• Mentor engineers and drive production readiness, CI/CD, and observability.
