Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an AI Applications Engineer to design, execute, and operationalize fine-tuning workflows for large language models across supervised, preference-based, and reinforcement learning approaches. This remote role requires production-grade engineering practices and strong collaboration with product, design, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of ML research and engineering, deep knowledge of Python and PyTorch, and hands-on experience with

Qualifications

• Six or more years of ML research and engineering experience.
• Strong Python and PyTorch proficiency.
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning transformer models at scale.
• Familiar with distributed training strategies (FSDP, ZeRO, pipeline parallelism).
• Experience with RLHF, DPO or related preference optimization techniques.
• Solid evaluation methodology, benchmarks, and human evaluation design.
• Experience running training jobs on GPU clusters and recovering from failures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of shipping or publishing impactful LLM work.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and operationalize fine-tuning workflows for LLMs.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Balance data quality, compute budgets, evaluation rigor, and shipping velocity.
• Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers.
• Ship meaningful LLM work with production-grade reliability.
