Job summary

Paper is seeking a GROW Tutor for after-school, remote tutoring. The role is part-time, roughly 4–5 hours per week, with a fixed schedule from 5:35 to 6:10pm ET, Monday through Friday.

You will tutor Math and/or ELA in small groups or 1:1, meeting with the same students across an 8–12 week program to build confidence and academic mastery. Sessions run 30–45 minutes, and tutors receive guidance from provided lesson plans, aiming to deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned tutoring.

Qualifications

• Reliable availability during after-school hours, every scheduled day.
• Ability to tutor Math for Grades 3–6.
• Strong verbal communication and online session facilitation.
• Proven ability to engage students and build rapport.
• Own reliable internet setup and distraction-free workspace.
• Residency in eligible US states.

Responsibilities

• Lead live tutoring sessions in Math during after-school hours.
• Maintain the same recurring weekly schedule.
• Prepare using provided lesson plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Build rapport and encourage active participation.
• Adapt instruction to varying student abilities.
• Administer informal assessments and adjust support.
• Deliver tutoring aligned with curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with team via Slack.
• Tutor Math up to Grade 6.
