Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking compassionate individuals to become AFL Professional Caregivers (Independent Contractors) in Fayetteville, NC. You will host adults or children with I/DD in a home setting, delivering support to help them live safely at home, at work, and in the community.

As an AFL caregiver, you provide care under a person-centered plan, receive training from RHA, and work as a contract provider.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED
• 18 years old or older
• Documentation of home ownership: current mortgage statement or renter’s lease
• Proof of homeowner’s renter insurance or personal property insurance
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, Healthcare Registry and Urine Drug Screen for yourself and other adults in the home

Responsibilities

• Seeking to understand the individual in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future.
• Supporting the individual in eating nutritious meals and snacks, resting, daily self-care, leisure, education and work activities.
• Preparing, teaching and assisting with food preparation, and cleaning of the home.
• Honoring the choices, preferences and culture of the person you support.
• Assisting with transportation and scheduling of medical, therapy, vocational and recreational activities.
