Job summary

RemoteJobsOne is seeking a highly skilled Aerodynamics Expert to contribute to an AI training project involving CFD, aerodynamic analysis, engineering simulation, and Python.

The role is fully remote, global in scope, contractor-based, approximately 15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule and weekend work optional.

Candidates should have an MS/PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a BS with aero-specific experience; strong Python and CLI-tool proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering with aero specialization; or BS in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering plus 1–2 years aero experience.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and applied aerodynamics.
• Experience formulating and executing CFD or aerodynamic analyses.
• Practical proficiency with Python.
• Experience with at least one CLI/tooling interface for engineering workflows.
• Ability to justify modeling choices, boundary conditions, mesh strategies, and solver settings.
• Ability to diagnose convergence issues and produce valid outputs.
• Excellent communication of technical reasoning and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
• Translate physical requirements into computational models and solver-ready cases.
• Create or modify geometries, computational domains, and meshes.
• Define initial conditions, boundary conditions, fluid properties, and solver settings.
• Run CFD and aerodynamic-analysis workflows using CLI-accessible tools.
• Use Python to automate preprocessing, simulation execution, parameter sweeps, postprocessing, and validation.
