Job summary

Raytheon's Field Engineering team seeks a skilled Field Engineer with hands-on AEGIS SPY‑1 Radar experience to support the program on U.S. Navy ships and allied installations.

The role requires frequent travel to Navy sites and shipboard environments, with remote work possible only when assignments are near residence. Responsibilities include installation, testing, maintenance, and training Navy technicians across SPY radar and MK99 FCS systems, ensuring readiness and reliability of critical

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or an Advance Degree with relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret) required at start.
• Formal training in Basic Electronics, Electricity, RF, digital and analog principles.
• Minimum six years of experience with the AEGIS Weapon System.
• Completion of AEGIS SPY‑1 Transmitter or AEGIS FCS Transmitters school.
• Experience interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Travel to naval shipyards CONUS/OCONUS to support ORDALT installations and technical efforts.
• Perform installation, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of SPY‑1 and MK99 systems.
• Plan and execute shipboard equipment installations and evaluate fixes.
• Prepare detailed reports on discrepancies with recommended solutions.
• Provide hands‑on training to Navy technicians on SPY radar and FCS.
