Job summary

Minnesota Connections Academy is seeking an Advisory Teacher to support K-12 students from home or the St. Paul office. You will consult with learning coaches, monitor progress, and guide students through their instructional programs using phone, email, and curriculum tools.

Responsibilities include advising on academics and graduation planning, creating Four-Year Plans, coordinating with counselors, and ensuring records and incidents are properly documented. Travel may be required for events.

Qualifications

• Minnesota state teacher certification in a secondary content area and/or counseling license is required.
• Excellent communication with families, students, and staff is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and families on academics, graduation planning, and course options.
• Assist with secondary school course selection and Four-Year Plan development.
• Track student progress and collaborate with counselors and administrators to guide success.
• Coordinate with school teams to access community resources and support services.
• Oversee and maintain Personal Learning Plans (PLP) for each student.
• Support families through withdrawal processes and data collection.
