Minnesota Connections Academy seeks an Advisory Teacher to support online K-12 students from home or at our St. Paul office. You will partner with learning coaches, counselors and teachers to monitor progress, guide course selection, and help students meet graduation requirements.

Formación

• Minnesota teacher certification in a secondary content area and/or counseling license.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office products.

Responsabilidades

• Advise students and families on academics, career planning and graduation.
• Assist with course selection and Four-Year Plan development to meet graduation requirements.
• Advise on dropping courses and schedule changes per policies.
• Collaborate with school staff to obtain and share student records.
• Support programs for interpersonal adjustment for families.
• Coordinate with school teams to connect families with resources.
• Participate in crisis prevention and Student Support Team initiatives.
• Identify students at risk and maintain regular contact with families.
• Oversee Personal Learning Plans for each student.
• Assist with data collection during withdrawals and related processes.
• Report critical incidents as required by law and policy.
• Support enrollment mid-semester transitions and guidance on coursework integration.
• Coordinate with Curriculum Team to ensure compliance with state requirements.
• Support professional development activities for teachers and staff.
• Potentially teach middle school elective courses and perform other duties.
