Job summary

Missouri Connections Academy is seeking an Advisory Teacher (Elementary) to support students and learning coaches from a home-based Missouri setting. You will advise on academics, monitor progress, and coordinate resources, ensuring compliance with school policies and state regulations.

As a certified Missouri Advisory Teacher, you will collaborate with PLC/GLT teams, participate in crisis planning, and help identify students at risk.

Qualifications

• Certified Advisory Teacher in Missouri, appropriate to grade level.
• Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC).
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for events (overnight as needed).
• Ability to work remotely.
• Must use a personal device and email for 2-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and families on academics.
• Advise on dropping courses and scheduling changes per policies.
• Review student academic records.
• Implement programs for interpersonal adjustment.
• Help families access school and community resources.
• Participate in crisis prevention and SST planning.
• Coordinate a team to identify at-risk students and act as their contact.
• Be part of PLC and GLT teams.
• Ensure complete and accurate student records.
• Support withdrawal data collection during transitions.
• Report critical incidents as required by law and policies.
• Assist with mid-semester enrollments and grade transitions.
• Support staff professional development.
• Support year-cycle tasks; perform other duties as assigned.
