Job summary

Ciena is seeking an Advisor, Competitive Intelligence to lead competitive efforts around Inside-the-Data-Center technologies. You will analyze market and technology trends, map competitive landscapes, and develop content for diverse audiences including Sales, Marketing and executive leadership.

The role demands strong analytical capabilities, ability to work across functions, and a focus on actionable insights that guide strategy and messaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• MBA or equivalent business degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis of ITDC solutions and identify key market participants and threats.
• Monitor competitor activity including product launches, partnerships, and GTM campaigns, assessing impact on Ciena’s business.
• Provide strategic CI support to Sales, Marketing, PLM, CTO, R&D and other stakeholders.
