Job summary

Ciena seeks an experienced Advisor, Competitive Intelligence to lead ITDC competitive efforts. The role blends market, business, and tech analysis to anticipate shifts and threats across AI-focused data center technologies.

Responsibilities span CI content, briefings, and stakeholder enablement for Sales, Marketing, CTO, and R&D, with strong cross-functional collaboration and independent execution in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• MBA or equivalent business degree is a plus.
• Experience in competitive intelligence roles within networking, optical, semiconductors, or data center infra industries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis of ITDC solutions and identify key players and strategies.
• Monitor competitor activity including product launches, partnerships, and GTM campaigns.
• Provide strategic CI support to Sales, Marketing, PLM, CTO, R&D and executives.
• Ensure competitive messaging aligns with product and business value propositions.
• Create CI content, briefs, and presentations for broad stakeholder use.
• Support major launches and industry events with actionable competitive insights.
