Job summary

Ciena, the global leader in high-speed connectivity, is seeking an experienced Advisor, Competitive Intelligence to lead ITDC competitive efforts. This strategic role blends market, business, and technology analysis, competitive positioning, content development, and stakeholder enablement to help Ciena understand and anticipate shifts and respond to new threats.

Required location is North America, either the United States or Canada, with responsibilities spanning Sales, Marketing, PLM, CTO, R&D

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or related field.
• MBA or equivalent business degree is a plus.
• Experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis of ITDC solutions and identify market players.
• Monitor competitor activity including product launches and go-to-market campaigns.
• Provide strategic competitive intelligence support to Sales, Marketing, PLM, CTO, R&D, and leadership.
• Create and deliver executive-ready briefings, battlecards, and presentations.
