Job summary

Duke Cardiology of Raleigh is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the outpatient Advanced Heart Failure program. The APP collaborates with the Heart Failure team to evaluate patients, perform exams, and manage care plans in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.

The role includes prescribing within scope, coordinating with physicians, and contributing to education and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• NPs require a Master's in Nursing and state NP license.
• Physician Assistants require an accredited PA program with a Bachelor's and preferably a Master's.
• Active national certification for NP or NCCPA certification for PA is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate established adult cardiovascular/heart failure patients and post-discharge follow-ups.
• Develop and implement plans of care with the care team.
• Order, review, and communicate lab results and imaging findings.
