Job summary

Duke Triangle Heart Associates in Durham, NC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join its outpatient cardiology team. The APP will primarily serve at the Hillandale Road clinic and may rotate to Riverview and Cary locations based on patient care needs.

You will collect patient histories, perform exams, order labs, assist with procedures, and contribute to teaching physician assistant students. An NP or PA credential with NC licensure and ACLS/BLS is required; experience in cardiology is

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioner track.
• Bachelor's degree required for Physician Assistant role; Master's degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and document data.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians.
• Order laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain procedures to patients.
• Carry out therapeutic procedures; monitor patient progress and maintain records.
• May supervise and train nursing/technical staff; participate in teaching PA students in cardiology.
