Job summary

Duke Triangle Heart Associates in Durham, NC is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Duke Health outpatient network. The APP will primarily support Duke Triangle Heart Associates with opportunities to rotate to other Cardiology sites depending on patient care and operations.

Candidates must have NP or PA training with required certifications; ACLS/BLS; NC license; cardiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited NP or PA program with current licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in cardiology or critical care preferred.
• Board certification in the appropriate specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and physicals, record data and build care plans.
• Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and coordinate tests.
• Order labs and imaging, explain procedures to patients.
• Provide direct patient care and document progress.
• Support teaching of students and collaborate with physicians.
• Participate in team-based care within Duke Cardiology.
