Job summary

Acadia Healthcare, a nationwide leader in behavioral health, seeks an Admissions Specialist for a 100% remote role. You will convert inquiries into scheduled admissions and maintain communications among patients, families, and referral sources.

The schedule includes 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day, with a strong focus on hitting admissions targets. Ideal candidates have college degrees and at least two years in healthcare admissions, preferably in mental health or substance use settings, and

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Two years’ experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in mental health or substance use fields.

Responsibilities

• Support admissions functions for multiple facilities within a region to assist clients and families seeking treatment.
• Review prospective admissions against admission criteria, policies, and procedures.
• Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patients and sources.
• Respond promptly to inquiry calls and schedule assessments.
• Assist prospective patients and families in seeking treatment.
• Refer inquiries to other agencies when not appropriate for facility admission.
• Coordinate with referral sources and maintain all admissions documentation.
