Job summary

Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is seeking an addiction psychiatrist to help lead its evolving co‑occurring disorders program, covering residential to outpatient care. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on holistic treatment for substance use and co‑occurring mental health issues.

Candidates should be MDs with active state licensure and board certification in addiction medicine or eligibility, plus related practice and credentials.

Qualifications

• Doctorate (MD) held and active medical license in the appropriate state.
• Board certified, or board eligible in addiction medicine; must be board certified prior to re-credentialing in two years.
• Addiction-related medical practice or equivalent experience.
• Background check, NPI number, DEA certificate required; BLS certification.
• Preferred ASAM board certification; 2+ years in addiction medicine; CD/Detox experience.

Responsibilities

• Help lead the developing co-occurring disorders program across levels of care from residential to outpatient.
• Join a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat patients with substance use and mental disorders.
• Educate staff on best practices in managing co-occurring disorders and implement integrated care.
