Affect is a digital health company transforming addiction treatment through an evidence-based telehealth program. We seek a Telehealth Substance Use Disorder Counselor to support adults in recovery from a remote location.

You will conduct intake assessments, lead individual and group sessions, provide crisis support, and document in our EMR while adhering to HIPAA and state regulations. A private HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet are required.

Qualifications

• Active and verifiable license from one of the Arizona licenses (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LIAC, LACT, LAAC) and state of residence.
• Credentials must be verified via the State Board’s website.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite, EMR systems and telehealth platforms.
• Passionate about recovery and building therapeutic relationships.
• Independent work style with strong collaboration in a startup environment.
• Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments to evaluate readiness and level of care.
• Facilitate group and one-on-one counseling using the program curriculum.
• Provide crisis support and coordinate appropriate referrals.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with supervisors on treatment and discharge planning.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and state regulatory adherence.
