Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to support the C&S Medicaid reserving team. You will analyze data, apply reserving methods, and contribute to monthly and annual processes while collaborating across Finance, Accounting, and Actuarial teams.

The role offers remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with an in-office requirement for Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. four days per week when based in those locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Progress toward Associate or Fellow of SOA with four or more exams passed.
• 4+ years of Actuarial experience.
• Advanced Excel proficiency including VBA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret quantitative data to identify drivers of healthcare trends.
• Use reserving methodologies to set monthly reserves.
• Communicate results across Finance, Accounting, Actuarial teams.
• Manage ad hoc project requests.
• Utilize predictive modeling to enhance monthly reserving process.
• Participate in the Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP).
