Job summary

Onward Search is seeking an Associate Creative Director (ACD) / Art Director for a temporary, remote assignment supporting healthcare marketing. The role focuses on creating patient-facing digital and print materials that convey complex health information clearly and engagingly.

You will lead design initiatives, develop interactive resources, maintain brand consistency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accessible patient experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Art Director, Senior Art Director, or Associate Creative Director in an agency, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated-industry environment.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma.
• Demonstrated experience creating interactive PDF documents with advanced navigation and hyperlink functionality.
• Strong understanding of digital design, typography, layout systems, and visual storytelling.
• Experience preparing files for professional print production and studio handoff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and production of approximately 12 downloadable patient-facing resources.
• Build interactive PDFs with navigation, hyperlinks, bookmarks, and cross-document links.
• Develop layouts, graphics, iconography, and visual systems aligned with brand guidelines.
• Prepare production-ready artwork for professional printing and studio handoff.
• Retouch and optimize imagery while collaborating with creative leadership and cross-functional teams.
