Job summary

University of Phoenix is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a fully remote, work-from-home role. You will process payments to suppliers and handle student refunds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.

You will examine invoices, research discrepancies, liaise with suppliers and internal units, and support training on financial systems. This position emphasizes accuracy, multitasking, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years accounts payable and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate the appropriate systems to retrieve or research information.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine, maintain, and track all supplier invoice documentation for compliance and accuracy with organization policies and procedures.
• Review and research problem invoices and statements and/or supplier records as outlined by department operating procedures, and as requested by management.
• Consult with suppliers and internal business units on routine inquiries and resolution of discrepancies.
• Act as a liaison in receiving and distributing financial aid checks and/or student refund checks when necessary; communicate the status of student refund checks and financial aid checks to department personnel upon request.
• Provide support and financial system training to internal business units, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
