Job summary

Comagine Health is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant for a primarily remote role serving Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; or Salt Lake City, UT. The role supports general ledger, accounts payable, and financial reporting within a nonprofit healthcare setting.

The position requires at least five years of accounting experience, strong detail orientation, and the ability to work independently with occasional in-office attendance during the first year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries and maintain general ledger balances.
• Support monthly close activities and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and audit documentation.
• Manage invoicing activities and accounts receivable records.
• Post customer payments, credit memos, and related transactions.
• Process vendor invoices and maintain accounts payable records.
• Coordinate payment processing and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and related general ledger accounts.
• Investigate variances and discrepancies; collaborate with internal and external partners.
