Job summary

Canonical is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. You will manage AP ledgers, process supplier invoices, and prepare payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role offers a fully remote environment and opportunities to develop professional accounting certifications.

Based in the United States, you will report to the Global Controller and collaborate with teams across the company. A supportive learning culture and an education budget are provided.

Qualifications

• Exceptional academic record in accounting or finance.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly with vendors.
• Experience with an enterprise accounting system.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of AP ledgers and reconcile accounts.
• Process supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare supplier payments and ensure timetables are met.
• Manage vendor data and gain approvals for changes.
• Help with month-end activities: prepayments, accruals and reconciliations.
• Resolve issues and escalate when appropriate to ensure compliance.
• Respond to queries efficiently and maintain proper records.
