Unrivaled Sports is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting and financial reporting for its Field Sports and Action Sports divisions. You will supervise two Senior Accountants, own the month-end close, and ensure GAAP compliance across multiple entities and locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervising staff.
• Experience owning a month-end close and financial reporting for multi-entity or multi-location businesses.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and fixed asset accounting.
• Advanced analytical capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented.
• Self-starter mindset with ownership and deadline-driven.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting and financial reporting for Field Sports and Action Sports divisions, including consolidation.
• Supervise two Senior Accountants and mentor staff.
• Oversee revenue recognition per GAAP (ASC 606) and manage deferred revenue.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
• Oversee fixed assets and capital projects, including ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Manage intercompany activity and reporting for JV entities.
• Oversee daily cash receipts and reconcile items.
• Lead month-end close and prepare division-level financial reports.
• Present results to senior finance leadership and stakeholders.
• Partner with operations for reconciled flash reports and metrics.
• Lead division PBC deliverables and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors.
• Design internal controls and scalable processes across multiple entities.
• Collaborate with FP&A for budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Lead acquisition integrations and align to chart of accounts.
