Job summary

Serve Robotics is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide strategic financial analysis. You will manage the accounting team, coordinate with senior management, and ensure accurate revenue, expenses, and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of total accounting experience, preferably at a mid-sized or large public company.
• 4+ years public accounting experience.
• 2-3 years managing a team and/or multiple Accounting functions.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Netsuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and equity accounting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and data management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger activities, including month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial forecasts to provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including audits and adherence to GAAP.
• Research complex accounting issues and assess impact; provide guidance on new standards.
• Maintain internal controls to mitigate fraud or error.
• Ensure correct revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance; coordinate with sales/ops.
• Oversee AP/AR processes, invoicing, collections, and payments.
• Oversee inventory accounting, counts, reconciliations, and valuation methods.
• Ensure proper COGS calculations and inventory reporting.
• Ensure ASC 842 lease accounting compliance and records.
