Job summary

Serve Robotics is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure financial data integrity, and support strategic decisions. You will lead the accounting team, manage close processes, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, ASC 606/842 expertise, and experience with Netsuite and Excel. Remote US-based work is supported, with close collaboration with senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years accounting experience in mid-sized or large public company.
• 4+ years public accounting experience.
• 2-3 years managing a team or multiple accounting functions.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Netsuite) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger activities, including month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and audits.
• Research complex accounting issues and advise on new standards (ASC 606/842).
• Maintain internal controls to mitigate fraud and error.
• Recognize revenue timely per ASC 606 and coordinate with sales/ops.
• Oversee AP/AR, invoicing, collections, and payments.
• Monitor inventory accounting, counts, reconciliations, and valuation.
• Calculate COGS accurately and report inventory levels.
• Coordinate external audits and assist with documentation.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
