AHI agilon health, inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day close processes and manage a team of staff and senior accountants.

The role involves overseeing general ledger activities, reconciliations, and internal controls within a remote USA framework, with collaboration across finance functions. Candidates should have 8+ years of accounting experience (public or private) and a CPA license, strong US GAAP and SOX knowledge, and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years public accounting or 8+ years private industry accounting experience, including management.
• Ability to handle ambiguity in a newly formed entity with evolving processes.
• Preference for combined public/private experience.
• Strong US GAAP and SOX knowledge with clear communication.
• Experience leading teams and influencing multi-level staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes for assigned markets with timeliness.
• Supervise and develop staff and senior accountants.
• Record and approve GL transactions in Workday; ensure accurate close.
• Review reconciliations and provide explanations to management.
• Support SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Assist with year-end audits and quarterly filings.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting packages.
• Collaborate with FP&A and market finance directors on variances and data.
• Identify process improvements within Accounting and Finance.
• Ensure HIPAA PHI protection and maintain documentation.
